The Cantina Coming To Disneyland Will Have One Strict Rule

Oh yes, it's finally happening! As of this summer you will be able to drink alcoholic drinks inside of Disneyland for the very first time!

As part of the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction, a cantina is opening up within the Star Wars area! Oga's Cantina does not yet have an official opening day set yet, but we know it is coming in "summer 2019" and that they will serve alcoholic drinks to those who are 21 and over.

The question posed by a Disney fan on Twitter, though, was whether or not the drinks purchased at Oga's Cantina would be able to be carried throughout the park or not. And a rep for Disney confirmed on Twitter this week that no, the drink would not be able to be taken to other areas of the park and would need to be consumed within the cantina.

This rule isn't too surprising, since this is the first time ever that alcohol will be allowed inside Disneyland. And the rule has actually been met pretty positively on social media.

One Disney-goer commented on the alcohol policy within Disney's California Adventure not being strict enough, writing, "Please implement a similar policy in DCA, it’s sad when I see drunk people all around the park. Alcohol in the parks is fine when it is actually supervised.

And hey, I guess if you limit people to having to consume their drinks inside the cantina, then there will be less people in the lines for the rides! Maybe reducing the lines has been their secret plan all along...

I will say, though, keeping the drinks themselves inside the cantina isn't going to keep there from being drunk people all over the parks, because once those people are finished with their drink, they're roaming around the park!

I'm definitely going to go check the cantina out... once it's been open for a couple months and isn't as much of a madhouse.
