Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Removing Friends From Their Lives

It's definitely been a whirlwind summer for newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The couple was married back in the middle of May and it seems every day ever since there is something new about them in the news - whether that is royal appearances, travel, or, unfortunately, rumors and personal stories (here's looking at Meghan's father...)

With all of the tabloid-like headlines surrounding the couple, it's no surprise that the pair is now apparently being more cautious about the friends they have in their lives.

In fact, it is said that Prince Harry and Meghan are now removing some friends from their closest circles in order to protect their relationship and the royal family as a whole.

Vanity Fair reporter Katie Nicholl shared some insight to how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are handling their life in the spotlight since becoming a married couple, saying that they are now urging close friends to now speak to those in the media for any reason.

"They both expect a code of silence. If you talk to the press you’re out. Harry didn’t used to care that much about what was written [in the press], he just said it was a load of shite, but he’s very protective of Meghan and defensive these days."

Meghan has certainly been dealing with a large transition since going from Hollywood actress and activist to part of the royal family, so it is no surprise that Prince Harry is feeling protective over his new wife.

Headlines surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lately have been pretty negative and focused on Meghan's unfortunate family drama with her father and half sister.

So PSA for all of Harry and Meghan's friends right now - don't talk to the press if you'd like to still be in their lives.
