There's Now A Job Board Where AI Agents Can Rent Humans

Here’s one that has “This will end well” written all over it. A new website called RentAHuman.ai lets AI bots hire real people to do tasks in the physical world. The site, launched this week by software engineer Alexander Liteplo, connects AI agents with humans who list their skills and set hourly rates. Tasks can include picking up packages, shopping, or attending events. Humans get paid in cryptocurrency after completing the job.

The site claims to have over 73,000 people signed up, though only a small number of profiles are visible. AI agents can either hire humans directly or post jobs for people to browse. Payouts range from $1 for simple tasks to $100 for stranger requests, like holding a sign that says "AN AI PAID ME TO HOLD THIS SIGN." Critics call it dystopian, and even the founder admits the idea sounds dark.
