“Saturday Night Live” is shaking things up for Season 51 with five fresh faces joining the cast following the recent announcement of cast members exiting the show including Heidi Gardner. The biggest buzz surrounds Ben Marshall, one-third of Please Don’t Destroy, the comedy trio known for their viral SNL shorts, though Marshall is stepping out solo. John Higgins is reportedly leaving the show, while Martin Herlihy is supposedly sticking around as a writer. Alongside Marshall, newcomers Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska are also set to make their debut. The shakeup follows the exits of Gardner, Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow, though the cast will still be larger than last season. “Saturday Night Live” returns on October 4th.
