Experts Reveal What Not To Buy On Prime Day

This year, Amazon Prime Day runs for four days, from July 8th to 11th, and while the huge sale will feature tons of discounts and deals, “Good Housekeeping” shopping expert Jessica Teich warns there are a few things you shouldn't buy then.

  • Large appliances lead the list, as they may be cheaper during President’s Day and Memorial Day sales.
  • Deals from third-party and unverified sellers may seem too good to be true and probably are.
  • Smaller discounts might not be worth clicking “add to cart,” as some shoppers aren’t interested if it’s not at least 50% off.
  • Watch for good deals on less-than-good products, consider the quality of the item, and whether you’d be better off splurging on one from a trusted brand.

That said, there will still be a ton of products on sale that you should snap up if you want them and the price is right for you.
