Southwest To Cut Back On Flights

Southwest Airlines says it will offer fewer flights in the second half of the year. The carrier is making the change as fewer people are booking flights within the U.S. Southwest also announced yesterday it expects to earn less money per ticket, up to four percent less than last year. Other airlines like United and Delta are also cutting back due to the uncertain economy. The flight cuts are in part due to the uncertainty about the economy with travelers as well, many who are opting to pause expensive vacations.
