Americans love beer and new research cracks open the favorite brands across the country. The report reveals our preferences for a cold one and the results may surprise you.
- Coffeeness, a German site known for coffee machine reviews and other beverage content, analyzed online search trends to find the favorite beer brands in each state, as well as nationwide.
- They analyzed data from YouGov’s Popularity Ratings as well as search interest on Google Trends in all 50 states, but the results aren’t tied to sales data or consumption metrics.
- So, what is the most popular beer in the U.S.? Miller dominates the list, winning as the top brand in 30 states overall. That’s 60% of the country!
- “Miller’s widespread appeal likely stems from its accessibility, consistent flavor profile, and strong marketing presence,” the report explains.
- Coors comes in a distant second, with just eight states. But the Colorado-based company didn’t come out on top in its own state, instead Coloradans prefer Belgian-style Blue Moon.
