It’s another British Invasion!

A slew of singers and boy bands from the UK have been making their marks Stateside lately … and we’re not complaining.

In addition to One Direction and Ed Sheeran, who we’ve been big fans of for quite some time, there are a bunch of newbies including Sam Smith, Rixton, and The Vamps .

Meet them all below!

Sam Smith

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter first made a name for himself in 2012 when he lent his vocals to Disclosure‘s “Latch,” but now the spotlight is entirely on him with his own hit single. “Money on My Mind,” which he performed with Taylor Swift at her London concert last month, has gone right to No. 1 on the UK Singles chart.

The Vamps

Hot on the heels of Rixton is another boy band that can play instruments: The Vamps! Lead vocalist Brad Simpson, guitarist James McVey, bassist Connor Ball, and drummer Tristan Evans just wrapped opening for Taylor Swift on her Red tour in London, and now they’re getting geared up for their own headlining tour.

Ed Sheeran

Another pal of Taylor Swift’s, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter has been at the top of the charts consistently since 2011 with his debut single, “The A Team.”

Whether on his own or lending his voice to songs with other artists, including Taylor, Ed has a knack for crafting beautiful songs that can make listeners feel his message. He even performed “Candle in the Wind“ with Elton John at an Oscars after-party on Sunday night.

One Direction

And finally, the band that needs no introduction! 1D — Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson — have taken the world by storm ever since they were contestants on the UK’s X Factor in 2010.

Since then, they’ve released three albums (their 2013 release Midnight Memories topped the charts in 16 countries) and are on track to earn $1 billion as a group.
