As if the news of a live action The Little Mermaid wasn't amazing enough, we've also learned that Lin-Manuel Miranda will be writing songs for the film!
I mean, after the INCREDIBLE collection of songs we got from his work on Disney's Moana there is no doubt he is going to kiiiill it on more underwater songs.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Alan Menken, a seasoned Disney composer, confirmed that Lin-Manuel is working with him on the new movie during the D23 Expo last week.
This is easily the BEST news on a Friday, now we know this live action remake of a SERIOUS classic is in wonderful hands.
